“We grow great by dreams. All big men are dreamers. They see things in the soft haze of a spring day or in the red fire of a long winter’s evening. Some of us let these great dreams die, but others nourish and protect them; nurse them through bad days till they bring them to the sunshine and light, which comes always to those who sincerely hope that their dreams will come true.”

Inspiration!
I seem to find something each and every day which helps to encourage me and remind me that writing may actually be my calling and what I’m meant to do… There were two today..
“Creative work is not a selfish act or a bid for attention on the part of the actor. It’s a gift to the world and every being in it. Don’t cheat us of your contribution. Give us what you’ve got.”
– Steven Pressfield, is a best-selling author. This quote is taken from his short and perfect book The War of Art.
“Each of us has an inner dream that we can unfold if we will just have the courage to admit what it is. And the faith to trust our own admission. The admitting is often very difficult.”
“What we really want to do is what we are really meant to do. When we do what we are meant to do, money comes to us, doors open for us, we feel useful, and the work we do feels like play to us.”
– Julia Cameron, is an American teacher, author, artist, poet, playwright, novelist, filmmaker, composer, and journalist. She is perhaps most famous for her book The Artist’s Way.

“The Uni-verse is impersonal. It gives alike to all. We see abundance in the Uni-verse. We cannot count the grains of sand on a single beach. The earth contains untold riches, and the very air is vibrant with power. Why, then, is man weak, poor and afraid? The Science of Mind deal with these questions.
The ‘Plan’ is one of Freedom. Freedom is the birthright of every living soul… Thus the inherent nature of man is forever seeking to express itself in terms of freedom. We do well to listen to this Inner Voice, for it tells us of a life wonderful in its scope; of a love beyond our fondest dreams; of a freedom which the soul craves.”
– Ernest Holmes, author and spiritual teacher.
I believe that this is something to which we must frequently be reminded.

“Stay true to your imagination and do everything in your power to keep the child inside you alive. I still live by these rules today, I am still a child at heart … Find your own personal style; your own voice, and explore it, refine it, perfect it. Then perfect it again. And most importantly, never give up. Remember that your artwork is a gift. Your pictures have the power to ignite dreams and inspire countless people.”-Stan Lee
Perfect quote that I found today. Great inspiration for every artist out there!

“Life loves to be taken by the lapel and told: ‘I’m with you kid. Let’s go.'”
– Maya Angelou, Angelou is an American poet, playwright, memoirist, actress, author, producer and an important figure in the American Civil Rights Movement.
As I was looking for my daily, or almost daily, quote that inspires me, I ran across this one and felt it was truly appropriate for this time in my life. I never thought that I would actually get my book published, but once it was accepted, I did decide to take “life by the lapel” and run with it. As a result, I have connected with many people who have very similar interests to me. I have discovered high school friends who are “best-selling” authors. I have discovered multiple groups on facebook, linkedIn, etc., that help to guide and encourage writers, both new and established. I have discovered that I have tons of friends out there who are wonderful and supportive rocks in my life and have given me the courage I need to continue to move forward and grab “life by the lapel”.
It has been a whirlwind last couple of weeks and I can’t wait to see where life will continue to take me on this journey.
I would like to express my thanks to everyone that has been following me and encouraging me and I hope that you will continue to share and like my pages, so that it can reach more people and I can have a large following by the time my first book comes out!

“You are now at a crossroads. This is your opportunity to make the most important decision you will ever make. Forget your past. Who are you now? Who have you decided you really are now? Don’t think about who you have been. Who are you now? Who have you decided to become? Make this decision consciously. Make it carefully. Make it powerfully.”
– Tony Robbins, is a best-selling author and motivational speaker.
“You are now at…
“This life has an infinite number of potentials for you; we live in a made to order Universe. Whatever you believe is possible for you and take consistent action upon is what becomes your reality. If you keep telling yourself that your dream isn’t possible, you will come to find that you are absolutely right.
But my friend, if you draw a line in the sand and tell the Universe that your dreams are a reality RIGHT NOW, and take action as if that were the case, you will come to find that you are absolutely right. The question is how long can you live in the fire of your dreams manifestation?
The price you have to pay to live your dream is facing your deepest darkest fear and the reward you receive from this courageous act is the realization that your fear was an illusion and that your dreams were always real.
So I ask you, my friend, are you willing to go there? Are you willing to sit in fire and sacrifice the comfort of your known world for the potential of something amazing, new and unknown? Don’t you want to find out what’s on the other side of your fear?
Living in fear is so last season, if you want to be happy and really live your dream you have to take a stand and just put yourself out there. You might fail, yes indeed – but, you might, you just might succeed too! Don’t you want to find out? Either way your life will never be the same… Can you handle it?”
– Jackson Kiddard, author & polymath.

“Always dream and shoot higher than you know you can do. Don’t bother just to be better than your contemporaries or predecessors. Try to be better than yourself.”
– William Faulkner, was a Nobel Prize-winning author and one of the most influential writers of the 20th century.
In trying to grow and create my own business, as well as write my first children’s book, I struggle with this everyday. Wondering if I am good enough to have a successful business and/or become a successful author. I must always remind myself to continue to “dream and shoot higher” and that I AM capable. Removing the word “can’t” from my vocabulary is a MUST!
