What is a VA, aka “Virtual Assistant”??

Good Evening late night TV watchers, insomniacs and channel surfers. You have landed on this “Blogfomercial” for a reason.  Now, “DON’T TOUCH YOUR REMOTE” as I have important words of wisdom that you need to hear!

Have you ever found yourself wondering… “What is a Virtual Assistant”, Well this series of “blogfomercials” is here to provide you with late night entertainment into the world of virtual assistants. I am here to enlighten you, to amaze you and to astound you with the life and times of a virtual assistant.

First and foremost a virtual assistant is probably working right now while you are watching this “blogfomercial”, we are NOT however:

  • rushing to shower and dress to hit the highway during rush hour commutes and snowstorms! (because we can work in our pajamas)images (1)
  • worrying about being late because of the big accident or traffic jam (we can’t be late if our commute is right up the stairs and we have no one but ourselves to answer to)125988190232442
  • worrying about whether or not the weather is appropriate to leave the dogs outside today or how much they will miss you… (the dogs will be home with us, lying at our feet while we take care of wonderful clients from our office upstairs, or downstairs or in the bedroom…. or wherever)images (2)
  • worrying about leaving our sick child at home, while we rush off to the office (our sick child can stay home with us)images (3)
  • wondering if we are going to be able to get time off next week because we have to take our elderly parent to the doctor (I own the business and I can schedule my own time!)images (4)
  • packing our lunch because because we won’t have to time to out today (we will simply walk to our kitchen and make a sandwich)images (5)

MOST IMPORTANTLY a “VA” is:

  • Your partner in businessdownload
  • Committed to helping your business succeeddownload (1)
  • Committed to helping your business save money. You are able to concentrate on the business of making money, while we handle the tasks that take up YOUR precious time – entering payrolls, answering emails, making travel arrangements, email marketing, social media…download (2)
  • Not going to need office space or insurance. VA’s are self employed contractors with our own virtual office.images (6)
  • Committed to saving you stress and worry. We will manage the office while you take off for some much needed vacation time.images (7)
  • Committed to saving time. YOUR time is precious. Spend it how you choose and feel confidant that your VA is keeping things rolling smoothly!images (8)

Quote

“Life loves to be taken by the lapel and told: ‘I’m with you kid. Let’s go.'”

– Maya Angelou, Angelou is an American poet, playwright, memoirist, actress, author, producer and an important figure in the American Civil Rights Movement.

As I was looking for my daily, or almost daily, quote that inspires me, I ran across this one and felt it was truly appropriate for this time in my life. I never thought that I would actually get my book published, but once it was accepted, I did decide to take “life by the lapel” and run with it. As a result, I have connected with many people who have very similar interests to me. I have discovered high school friends who are “best-selling” authors. I have discovered multiple groups on facebook, linkedIn, etc., that help to guide and encourage writers, both new and established. I have discovered that I have tons of friends out there who are wonderful and supportive rocks in my life and have given me the courage I need to continue to move forward and grab “life by the lapel”.

It has been a whirlwind last couple of weeks and I can’t wait to see where life will continue to take me on this journey.

I would like to express my thanks to everyone that has been following me and encouraging me and I hope that you will continue to share and like my pages, so that it can reach more people and I can have a large following by the time my first book comes out!
